Written by Roddy Lee

Roddy The Rooster was having morning tea with his farmyard friends Cassie The Carpetsnake and Joe The Jolly Jumbuck.

Suddenly they heard the sound of a steam engine, Toot! Toot!

Roddy was excited. "It's the Little Red Caboose, you beauty!"

And Roddy, Cassie and Joe sang their song about the Little Red Caboose.

Let me introduce
Little Red Caboose
Little red caboose behind the train
Hanging on so loose
Like a loose papoose
Little Red Caboose behind the train
Little Red Caboose
Little Red Caboose
Little Red Caboose behind the train
Little Red Caboose
Little Red Caboose
Little Red Caboose behind the train

Little Red Caboose that was his name
Little Red Caboose behind the train
Little Red Caboose that was his name
Little Red Caboose behind the train

Time to say vamoose
Little Red Caboose
Little Red Caboose behind the train
See you again Caboose
Little Red Caboose
Little loose Red Caboose behind the train

Little Red Caboose that was his name
Little Red Caboose behind the train
Little Red Caboose that was his name
Little Red Caboose behind the train

pic Little Red Caboose

Every day the Little Red Caboose would run up and down the country track delivering all sorts of things all over the countryside. Cars, coal, grains and goods.

When the train followed the track up the hills the Little Red Caboose would push with all his might to help the big engine over the crest.

But down the other side, it was free-wheeling all the way ... and fun! Wheeee!

At the end of each day the Little Red Caboose would rest in his specially made maintenance shed.

Then in the morning, after a hearty breakfast the Little Red Caboose would be off again to perform his daily chores. Toot! Toot!

Remember, boys and girls, a hearty meal every morning will give you the energy you need to start your day right. A healthy body is a healthy mind.

See you next month!
